People do have negative thoughts, that is natural, but to constantly think negative about yourself and the environment around you just drains you mentally and physically. Take a moment and think about what moments happened during the day that made you smile. It doesn’t have to be big moments because ultimately to think positive it comes down to the little moments.
No one is perfect, but at the same time, we as people have got to stop being so hard on ourselves. We want to be the best person we can be, and having that mindset is the way to go, but the moment you want to compare yourself to someone else or think negative about yourself that is where things go downhill.
Everyone should be appreciative of the simple things in my life, look at it differently and try to in a positive way. Make it a goal for yourself to think more positive. Not by having things, but by simply seeing the glass half full. Write down your thoughts. Writing can be very therapeutic.
Write down at the end of your day your feelings about how your day went. All the good moments that really stuck out for you. Even if you have one, then write that down. Seeing what you wrote can make you feel more appreciative in your life. Now, most people wouldn’t want to do the next step, but in order to move on to have a more positive and happier life, then you have to recognize the bad moments. Write down then the bad moments you had. Be very honest with yourself. Writing that down can let you reflect on it, and then take the next big step to move on.

You might not be able to control your situation you aren’t liking, but you can control how you handle it and how you handle your thoughts.
Prayer is really powerful. If you found yourself lost before and not feeling connected to God as you once were, then open up yourself completely to him. Allow yourself time to pray. You will have this released feeling of not carrying this burden with you. You don’t have to hold the heavy baggage yourself, you can have help from him.
It is a journey, so know positive thinking doesn’t happen overnight. You have to make a conscious effort to train your mind to think positive. Be in charge of your thoughts!
